Slad sits in a steep sided predominately wooded valley. It boasts a small church which houses a stained glass window dedicated to Slad’s most famous resident, the author Laurie Lee. He is buried in the churchyard in the valley he loved overlooking his favourite watering hole, The Woolpack Pub. Food is available, however booking advised.

Due to the current Covid – 19 crisis, it is with great regret that we will not be opening our garden and
facilities in line with current government advice.
We will review the situation once current restrictions are lifted and hopefully will open later in the season.
Keep an eye on the website for updates.
We are disappointed not to be meeting up with friends old and new but in the meantime stay safe and sane.
With best wishes to you all
