Outside Facilities
Little Orchard is a steeply sloping, terraced, acre plot developed using many reclaimed materials, stonework and statuary which is enhanced with different styles of planting to complement the natural surroundings. It enjoys a sunny south-west aspect and is a haven for wildlife. The secluded garden offers many seating areas and open lawns with stunning views of the Slad Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
A small children's play area offers a tree house, swings and large rocking horse. Children using this area must be supervised at all times and the guardian must judge the suitability of the equipment to the age of the child.
A large, covered, partly sunken hot tub is situated on the patio area close to the house. A further woodburning hot tub is situated alongside a shepherd's hut in the woodland area at the top of the garden, both with stunning views of the Slad Valley.
Rod's working Cidery, producing cider from locally sourced apples, is located within the grounds. Tastings are available.
